Troubleshooting - Oculus Switchback 5839-023Updated 11 days ago

  • Halo not Powering On / Flickering

    • Ensure Included Y-Adapters are plugged in correctly between Halo Plug, Jeep Harness, & Jeep Bulb Socket Adapter

  • White Halo not Powering on Automatically

    • The halo is plug & play with the factory Park Light / Turn Signal Bulb Harness. There is no Auto function at that bulb, therefore, it's not possible to make the white halo automatic.

  • There have been reports of a few occurrences/issues that have been linked to canbus errors for these. Occurrences known are:

    • bulb out error

    • shutting down of park lights / DRL

    • pulsating / strobing of white function

    • Turn signal hyperflash

    • If you are experiencing any of these issues please reach out to customer support.

  • The 5839-023 will not work with the SPORT model Jeeps without a programmer.

    • If you run into this issue you may offer an exchange to a different style Oculus. If there is a price difference suggest offering a store credit for the difference. See Missy or Britt for any questions.

  • If installing on a Jeep with halogen fender turn signal bulbs - LED turn signal bulbs may be needed to prevent hyper flashing or dash errors.

  • This style plugs into the Fender Harness and utilizes its Park Light and Turn Signal functions.

    • The white part of the Oculus will work as a parking light not ignition.

    • If you do not want the fender lights (fender relocation) they would remove the plug from the turn signal/parking light harness side.

  • Customer states the main headlight LED works, the OEM fender lights work, but the halo does not work for white or amber:

    • Have the customer send a photo of the harness to compare to photo below:

If you are experiencing any issue with the turn signals AND have an aftermarket fender, this is most likely what is causing the issue with our turn signal.

You can try a Tazer and/or contact the fender manufacturer.
